parent consultation

 Raising children can be challenging.  Sometimes this is an understatement!  In parent consultation, I meet with you (and your co-parent, if any) to find out all I can about your child and the issues you are seeing at this time.  Then we discuss ways for you to work with your child to help with feelings, change behaviors, or move onto the next developmental stage.  Sometimes this process leads to a decision that your child should be seen for psychotherapy, and sometimes the consultation process alone is sufficient.

Many of my patients have come to me because of my background in working with families. I understand the challenges and the joys of parenting.  My own children are almost grown.
